Successful applicants will be hands-on from their very first day and will primarily play an integral role in setting up and operating the Tennis system at one of the 100+ events we cover each year both from an electronic line calling and broadcast content perspective, all whilst utilising their own skillset to further drive the business forward.

Initially, you can expect to spend 220 days per year on tour. You will be exposed to each pillar of the Tennis department in your early days, after which you will have the opportunity to specialise in any of the following pillars: Technical, creative, operations, SP and projects. Please see below for their areas of focus:

Technical: Testing, improving and stress testing our systems to improve the performance of our delivery across the tours.

Creative: Working closely with TV directors and external broadcasters to provide statistics and storytelling of data-driven insights across tennis matches during live broadcasts.

Operations: Reviewing, improving and strategising how we improve the efficiency of delivery across the globe

Projects: Onsite management of our service delivery across the globe. Liaising with external stakeholders to organise our technical requirements to be ready and sites to be prepared for our arrival and to deliver our services to the deadline of the events.

SMART Production: Rigging and directing live TV broadcasts across the Masters 1000s ATP tour.

As you specialise throughout your time in the tennis department there is the option to join a more project-focused team and workflow where you can spend more time in an office-based capacity. Although this does not diminish your opportunity to occasionally travel to some of the biggest Tennis events across the world.

πŸ’ΌWhat does a Systems Operator do?

  • Installation and setup of Hawk-Eye hardware in the build-up to matches, including setting up our cameras, calibrating the system and performing pre-match checks.

  • Liaise with key stakeholders including broadcasters and TV directors for creative impact

  • Liaising with match officials, tournament third parties, organisers and officials to ensure all contractual obligations are seamlessly delivered for our arrival.

  • Monitoring and Operation of the Hawk-Eye ball-tracking system and broadcast analysis during every game.

  • Supporting our 'SMART Production' broadcast delivery at tennis events throughout the year.

  • Providing quick resolutions for any technical issues

  • Contribute to research and development of new projects

  • Maintenance of kit and equipment needed to run the system

πŸ› What are we looking for from you?

Essential:

  • An inquisitive mindset. The world of sports technology is constantly evolving and as such we are looking for individuals that continue to push the boundaries of our products and services;

  • Bright and enterprising with excellent problem-solving skills;

  • Initiative, diligence, honesty, resilience, attention to detail and enthusiasm;
