We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager with a strong background in setting up and managing quality management systems, particularly in the field of custom silicon manufacturing. Additionally, expertise in the automotive industry will be highly beneficial. As our Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our organization maintains the highest standards of quality in the development and production of custom silicon.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement a robust Quality Management System specifically tailored to the custom silicon manufacturing process.
- Define and document quality policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure adherence to industry best practices and customer requirements.
- Lead the efforts for ISO 9001 certification and maintain compliance with the standard.
- Additionally, ensure familiarity and compliance with automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949.
- Coordinate external audits and ensure successful certification and recertification processes.
- Establish quality control processes and standards specific to custom silicon manufacturing.
- Implement quality assurance methodologies to identify and address any deviations from quality standards.
- Develop and implement quality inspection plans and procedures specific to custom silicon not only but including automotive applications.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the organization, specifically focusing on enhancing automotive quality performance.
- Identify areas for enhancement and implement corrective actions to improve quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.Conduct regular quality audits to monitor compliance, identify opportunities for process optimization, and ensure alignment with automotive standards.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on quality management principles, specific automotive quality standards, and custom silicon manufacturing requirements.
- Foster awareness and understanding of quality standards throughout the organization, emphasizing the unique considerations of automotive applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers in the automotive industry to ensure quality requirements are met and address any quality-related issues.
- Serve as a point of contact for automotive customers, understanding their quality expectations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Define key quality metrics for custom silicon manufacturing, including automotive-specific indicators, and establish systems for measuring, monitoring, and reporting on quality performance.
- Prepare regular reports on quality trends, improvement initiatives, compliance status with ISO and automotive standards, and customer-specific quality requirements.

Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Engineering, or a related discipline). Advanced certifications in quality management and automotive quality standards are a plus.
- Proven experience in successfully setting up and managing Quality Management Systems, preferably in the context of custom silicon manufacturing for automotive applications.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and requirements, as well as familiarity with automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949.
- Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques specific to custom silicon and automotive manufacturing.
- Experience in conducting internal and external audits, particularly in the automotive industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail, emphasizing automotive safety and reliability.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to engage and train employees at all levels, with a focus on quality requirements.

Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
