What You Will be Doing:

  • Determine the launch product. The technology we have developed addresses multiple potential use cases. You will be responsible for evaluating these ideas or developing additional ideas yourself, and selecting a specific product direction to go to market.
  • Build initial prototype and carry out validation. Working potentially with internal engineers and AI talents as well as design contractors, you will be responsible for developing an initial design of the product and collecting user feedback to validate the core business thesis.
  • Build business case. Including initial financial models, TAM/SAM/SOM analysis, estimate of margin, competitive analysis, etc. As part of this, we expect you to validate (or falsify) user demand and willingness to pay, and also develop the initial GTM.
  • Develop a request for funding as a final milestone during the 3 months FIR consulting engagement. At the conclusion of this 3 month plan, you and AI Fund will jointly make a decision on whether to fund and proceed with this as a business.

What You Must Bring:

  • Marketing experience.
  • Business or Product leadership background.
  • Startup experience, building companies from 0 to 1.

  • Previous experience leading fundraising from institutional investors is a huge plus

About This Project:
We are on a mission to bring fairness and equity to the college admissions process. As application volumes surge annually, admissions departments face the dilemma of either inflating budgets for more staff or spending less time per application. Admissions offices need tools that are able to make evaluations more efficient, while maintaining the nuance and uniqueness of each applicant.
We are aiming to leverage AI to evaluate each part of the application and assist admissions officers in making informed, fair decisions. We want to help eliminate biases, streamline the evaluation process, and ensure a holistic review of each application.
We go beyond test scores and GPAs to analyze essays, recommendation letters, and extracurricular activities. Each factor is carefully weighed to generate a multifaceted profile of the applicant, thus ensuring the recognition of diverse talents and backgrounds.
By eliminating manual labor and reducing subjectivity in the application review process, our solution enables admissions offices to devote more resources to student engagement and strategic planning. What You Will Be Doing:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and develop a strategic roadmap to position the company as a pioneer in AI-driven coaching solutions in alignment and co-development with existing founding team’s purpose, vision, mission and values (e.g., empowering human capabilities with AI and coaching, respecting coaching techniques, values and ethics, putting user security and confidentiality first etc.)
  • Product Development: Collaborate with the technical co-founder and the AI Fund team to enhance the solution, ensuring its fluency, quality, and efficacy through AI/ML advancements.

We are looking for an energetic Senior Associate or Principal to join our investment team and support our process of building companies.

  • Carry out concept ideation and early product validation.   • Build a business case. What You Will Be Doing:

  • The successful candidate will help build and advise companies. The expectation in terms of time spent is 5 - 8 hours a week during the three months co-building phase and then on average 2 hours a week for 2 years after the FIR receives funding from AI Fund.
  • The Venture Advisor will work with Associates and the Partners to move a company through several stages:
  • Hypothesis and Early Validation: The Venture Advisor may work with Associates and the Partners to formulate a hypothesis and do early validation. This would include: Definition of the problem, understanding the competitive landscape, market analysis, early customer validation.
    Hiring of Founder-In-Residence (if applicable): The Venture Advisor will be active in the recruiting process of the FIR and act as the hiring manager. The Venture Advisor will act as a coach/mentor or as a sounding board to the FIR whenever necessary. The Venture Advisor will continue to work with the FIR towards getting the company from zero to 1.
    Co-Building: Working with the FIR and Company to continue building, validating, and iterating on the PC, including carrying out a study of the most viable approach to deploying the desired products or services. Explore potential MVP product designs. Help develop an actual, market-ready prototype using low-code / no-code platforms.   • Ensure consistently high content quality by holding the bar for technical content that is accurate, engaging and effective, and guide and support the team, including the SME in reaching that bar.
  • Develop an independent perspective on the material being taught so that you can flex to assist the SME in fleshing out the topic and/or assist the content development team in creating relevant learning material, if needed.

You will do this by:

  • Quickly learning about the course topics from journal articles and other technical material.
  • Assessing how the SME’s expertise can best be utilized, and directing the work of other team members to effectively deliver high quality content in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing and providing constructive feedback on technical AI content created by the SMEs and others, and determining how it can be converted into a high quality learning experience through improvements to the words, visuals, code, and overall flow of ideas.
  • Tracking the creation and external review of all elements of the course, and creating them yourself if need be.
  • Working closely with a production and visual design team to record videos, add visual design and deliver high-quality multimedia content to support the curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Technical background in math and programming at a level sufficient to follow and successfully complete an online course in machine learning, such as DLAI’s Deep Learning Specialization.
  • Knowledge of instructional design best practices as well as experience designing and teaching technical courses.
  • Graduate degree in STEM / AI / CS or equivalent industry experience in areas like software development, machine learning or data science.
  • Excellent communicator and team player with an ability to author and edit high-quality written content in English.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience developing online asynchronous curriculum in the areas of AI, machine learning, data science, robotics or similar.
  • Research or industry experience as a data scientist, machine learning engineer or similar.
