The Role
The Practice Analytics team is dedicated to helping clinical teams deliver the best patient care at the dentist office. We apply Overjet’s cutting-edge dental AI in a SaaS platform so dentists can consistently identify needed patient care and better explain treatment needs with powerful AI visualizations.
We’re a cross-functional technical team; blending backend, frontend, data engineering, machine learning, data science, and product. We work closely with sales, clinical, and customer success teams as we rapidly iterate the Platform and delight clinicians and patients. Responsibilities:
- You are a technologist at heart
- You are a go-to team member for design, architecture, and code reviews
- Bring an expert understanding of the systems, their dependencies, and can forecast and mitigate challenges effectively
- Hold a high bar for the quality of the architecture and design of systems, while striving to keep it simple too.
- You are passionate about teamwork and collaboration, while coaching and mentoring software developers to deliver timely, high-quality software.
- You have experience in cultivating a strong engineering culture in an iterative, agile environment.
- You have led complex engineering efforts, and know what it takes to deliver while still having a healthy team.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years in an engineering lead/architect role
- Knowledge of Java, Python, Javascript, Google Cloud Platform, Unix/Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, RESTful API, Service Mesh, IaC and various other technologies is helpful.
- Experience with a cloud native environment (GCP or AWS)
- Strong experience with Sql (Postgres preferred)
- Ability to be "on-call" on non-working hours periodically, as needed and planned for by the team.
