Algolia is growing at warp speed, which means the Business Development team needs to scale quickly and efficiently. We're looking for a Business Development Manager to be part of the fast paced AMER BDR team. You will have the unique opportunity to work cross functionally with a high paced Global BDR Org. You will be reporting directly to the Global Director of XDRs.

You will be responsible for the outbound business development team- working cross functionally with Marketing, Sales Ops, and Field Leaders. You will be an active contributor in shaping the global team and process. This is a high impact and high ownership role for people leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset, who are interested in building something big and empowering reps to reach their potential. You will be expected to present and own the results of the US BDR team.

YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:

  • Hire, train, and manage a team of Outbound BDRs that support our growing Enterprise and Commercial segments.
  • Own the business development funnel including process improvements and tool development to increase efficiency and reduce complexity
  • Be very comfortable in the ability to use data to back decisions and initiatives
  • Monitor and refine sales lead processes, metrics, and tools to maximize success on the BDR team - challenge the status quo
  • Cultivate an environment of teamwork, openness, creativity, and continuous improvement of everyone's role
  • Work side by side with Sales Ops and Enablement to improve ramp of new BDR’s and also the ongoing training of the BDR Org
  • Encourage global team involvement and culture.
  • The Sales Development Org is spread across the world, we must encourage and influence proactive teamwork

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE:

  • 5+ Years of successful sales experience, preferably with a SaaS offering
  • 2-3+ Years in a leadership role managing in a Business Development Environment
  • Experience in building a Business Development Organization is a plus
  • Analytical skills - ability to draw conclusions and recommendations based on data.
  • Will to improve workflows and develop new best practices of how the SDRs manage the inbound flow.
  • Successful track record achieving and exceeding individual and team quotas
  • Strong Knowledge of SFDC - Reporting, SFDC workflow management, etc.
  • Willing to get your hands dirty - you will need to have a desire to get into the weeds and coach by example
  • Proven track record of building out successful outbound strategies at prior companies
