About You: you are an NLP Large Language Model (LLM) Senior Engineer with proficiency in fine-tuning, training models, and handling vast datasets. You love working on new and challenging problems and are supercharged by having interesting, unsolved problems continually present themselves. The successful candidate will drive our initiatives in leveraging advanced NLP techniques, ensuring our applications reach their peak performance and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Model Development and Fine-tuning:
- Work closely with the data science team to fine-tune and optimize existing LLMs for specific tasks.
- Develop custom training procedures to address unique challenges and requirements.
Data Management:
- Acquire, preprocess, and manage vast datasets.
- Ensure data quality, relevance, and integrity for model training and validation.
Research and Implementation:
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in NLP and LLM technology.
- Prototype and test new methodologies and integrate them into our systems, as necessary.
Performance Evaluation:
- Establish robust evaluation metrics for model assessment.
- Regularly test and monitor model performance to ensure it meets or exceeds benchmarks.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate LLMs into end-user applications.
- Provide technical guidance on NLP matters to junior team members and colleagues.
Documentation:
- Create comprehensive documentation on model architectures, training procedures, and performance metrics.
- Offer recommendations for improvements and optimizations based on data analysis.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of related experience preferably at a B2B SaaS product company, especially in highly scalable production environments.
- Significant NLP Large Language Model experience, ideally as a Tech Lead.
- Team player who is solutions-oriented and works collaboratively with others.
- You have crisp written and verbal communication skills and can effectively correspond between technical and non-technical audiences.
