About The Role
We are in search of a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to enhance our technical platform team. You will play a pivotal role in crafting, optimizing, and maintaining the robust infrastructure that underpins our cutting-edge projects. 🧠Here’s what you’ll do:
- Architect, deploy, and manage advanced infrastructure solutions, with a strong emphasis on AWS services, Docker containerization, and PostgreSQL (RDS) as the primary datastore.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand technology requirements and translate them into reliable and scalable infrastructure.
- Ensure the security, stability, and performance of our infrastructure components, employing industry best practices and monitoring tools.
- Contribute to the automation of deployment processes, scaling mechanisms, and performance monitoring for continuous improvement.
- Create and manage Terraform and Python scripts for provisioning and orchestrating infrastructure resources, streamlining deployment and scaling processes.
- Collaborate closely with the Data Platform team to identify opportunities for Metabase improvements, contributing your technical expertise to enhance data visualization and analysis capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship for less experienced engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
⚒️ We hope you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to ECS, EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in Docker containerization for orchestrating and scaling applications.
- Strong command of PostgreSQL, particularly within an RDS environment.
- Proven expertise in technologies such as Python and Terraform.
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ or other message broker systems.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and managing robust and secure infrastructure solutions.
- A passion for automating processes and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- Nice to have: Experience with Data Analysis tools like Metabase.

The details: remote work & tech stack
We are hiring for a Level 3 (Senior) role. You should be located in the EMEA region. You are free to choose working hours that suit you best, as long as there is a three-hour overlap with your team.
Our platform is hosted on AWS, running on Docker containers, defined in Terraform. We serve our customers where they live, so we are expanding our infrastructure across multiple AWS regions
Our application is built in Elixir on top of the Phoenix web framework. We also use Python for our backend services, with RabbitMQ as the message broker, and PostgreSQL as our database of choice.
Our code lives on GitHub – in fact, GitHub and Slack are where most of the collaboration happens (almost no emails get sent around). We use ShapeUp as our software development methodology.
