As the QA Engineering Manager, you will lead and grow a team that is shaping quality requirements for how we build and deliver features and products at Pinterest.You’ll provide a vision to the team, drive technical excellence and partner with key stakeholders to prioritize and deliver on the team's roadmap.
An ideal candidate will be a passionate people manager, with strong experience driving quality programs across large Engineering organizations. You are methodical, a self-starter, and passionate about quality also also keen to help grow and coach individuals. The successful candidate is an experienced hands-on manager who can build a high performing healthy team and ensure it performs well.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and grow a team of QA engineers and manual testers
- Partner with the engineering teams to build a quality driven culture that helps ship products rapidly and with confidence.
- Implement and evolve QA processes to get effective test signal and scale testing efforts across multiple products and platforms
- Partner with engineering and test infrastructure teams to leverage automation for scalable solutions to prevent regressions and ensure reliability of product.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years of test/quality engineering experience.
- 2-3 years direct people management experience.
- Experience building a Quality Engineering organization that is responsible for end-to-end validation for a critical system or application.
- Understanding of testing strategies including technologies for automated testing.
- Experience building relationships and influencing stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
