About the Role

Casetext is looking for an attorney with litigation experience, in-house experience, or experience working in a law firm's library or KM department, to join our reference attorney team. We need someone that has a passion for legal research & technology to provide instruction to Casetext's customers using the company's suite of AI-products. You'll join one of the most-awarded and fastest-growing companies in the legal technology market. This role is entirely remote, but you must be based in the U.S., preferably EST, and authorized to work in the U.S.

As the Reference Attorney, AI Applications You Will:

  • Be a constant advocate for the product and steward of the Casetext brand
  • Train our customers on how to use our suite of AI-based software products, including hosting webinars and conducting customized training sessions for attorneys and law firms
  • Conduct discrete legal research projects across diverse legal topics
  • Become a subject matter expert on Casetext's suite of AI-products
  • Troubleshoot a broad range of legal citation and data quality issues
  • You may occasionally be responsible for supporting our Sales team in product demonstrations by providing product & legal research expertise, working closely with internal support & customer success teams to help troubleshoot customers' problems to drive customer success outcome, and create materials to educate users of Casetext's products

About You:

  • You have a JD with bar admission in at least one jurisdiction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a passion for working with people
  • Strong legal writing skills
  • Fast learner & comfortable developing expertise in new technologies
  • A strong attention to detail
  • You're looking for an adventure in a law-adjacent, but not litigation practice role
  • You love legal research and have demonstrated passion for taking on new substantive legal topics
  • An exceptional work ethic and you hold yourself & your work to an incredibly high standard
  • You're drawn to innovation, especially innovation in law
  • You're comfortable with public speaking and answering questions live, potentially in front of several people at once
  • You have great prioritization skills and able to cut through tasks efficiently - you don't get fazed by a large quantity of information

Salary Range: $80,000-$110,000/year
