About the opportunity
Ontra is seeking a Customer Engagement Manager (CEM) to join our rapidly growing company. The CEM will be a key player on the Account Management team, supporting the team’s customer-facing responsibilities. This person will manage the onboarding process for customers, respond to day-to-day customer and attorney needs, assist with initiatives to grow customer relationships, and work cross functionally with other departments within Ontra. Over time, CEMs will also manage and grow their own accounts.
The CEM will report directly to a U.S.-based Managing Director, and can be located in any of our U.S. locations.
What you’ll do
- Customer onboarding: utilize customer-facing skills to lead smooth and efficient onboarding process for new customers including account set up and managing the customer journey
- Customer growth: Identify and pursue customer growth through supporting and leading upselling and expansion opportunities
- Process Design and Optimization: Design and implement custom processes for new engagements in response to specific customer needs; map out the customer journey and help constantly improve the company’s customer-facing processes
- Attorney Support: Work with the Legal Network team to support the Ontra attorney community, ensuring that the attorneys remain happy and engaged
- Cross-Collaboration: Partner with Ontra’s Engineering, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to support Account Management goals
What you’ll bring
- Experience: J.D. or 2+ years of corporate paralegal experience, with NDA-drafting experience required
- Legal interest: Demonstrated interest in contract or transactional law, with the ability to speak the legal language
- Writing: Must have excellent professional writing skills and email etiquette
- Diligence and attention to detail: Effective project management and consistent delivery of timely, high-quality work
- Process-oriented: Enjoys designing, refining, and executing complex processes
- Interpersonal skills: Ability to empathize with both customers and attorneys, collaborate effectively with different personalities, and grow relationships
- Self-directed: Able to manage yourself with little oversight or direction

In addition to cash salary, the total compensation package Ontra offers includes unit-based compensation (if applicable). Certain roles in our sales and account management departments may also be eligible to receive variable compensation or commission.
