About the role

Tome is bringing storytelling into the modern era by constantly narrowing the gap between what creators mean to express and what their audiences experience.

The next innovative leap in our journey is adding the latest AI/ML capabilities to Tome's existing magic. To enable that, the team is looking to hire a Lead ML Engineer to build Tome's most magical and amazing features, craft our AI/ML strategy, and build out an outstanding team.

Tome's AI/ML team will be building front-and-center experiences into the product, to bring the next level of wow to our users. There's much innovative work ahead: from generating image, text, and layouts, to enhancing videos, to complete AI story creation.

What you'll do

• Drive large impact on Tome's growth by shipping magical creation experiences that customers are eager to use

• Help drive Tome's AI/ML strategy in tight collaboration with founders and execs

• Identify user needs and product features that are well suited for AI/ML solutions and frame the problems

• Develop prototypes for innovative creation experiences based on generative AI models like GPT-3 and Stable Diffusion and drive development of those into robust product features

• Work closely with product designers to apply AI/ML for creating features that delight users and stimulate and augment creators' imagination

Who you are

• You have a BS or MS degree in CS, AI, or applied math

• You have 2+ years of experience building AI/ML based products or features in NLP or vision domains

• You have a strong understanding of deep learning AI/ML frameworks or cloud services

• You have hands-on ML Ops experience

About the role

Recently Tome has experienced explosive growth — the number of users and tomes created has grown by orders of magnitude.

With this incredible demand for our product comes an opportunity to turn large data volume into huge user value.

The team seeks a software engineer with expertise in data processing and storage. There's much exciting and challenging work ahead — from refining Tome's data strategy in collaboration with ML and software engineers, to building data pipelines for ML model training, to helping cross-functional stakeholders gain new insights.

What you’ll do

• Architect, implement, and run Tome's data processing and storage systems for ML and analytics.

• Design, build, and run data pipelines.

• Create data models that support advanced analytics and reporting.

• Build and maintain APIs for data access and integration with other systems.

• Integrate Tome's data systems with external data sources and sinks.

• Stay abreast of the latest data technologies and trends to ensure state of the art data processing capabilities for Tome.

Who you are

• You have a Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly data-centric roles.

• You are proficient with data architectures such as data warehousing and data lakes.

• You have experience with batch and streaming data pipeline technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Flink).

• You have experience with building and running data pipelines on public clouds (e.g. AWS, GCP).

• You are proficient with SQL, NoSQL, and object storage (e.g. PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, S3)

About the role

Great CRM is about relationship building — anticipating needs and addressing them proactively so that customers get the right information at the right time and truly love their experience.

As Tome's CRM Lead, you'll shape and guide the communications strategy that connects people to our product and brand.

You'll spend your time thinking about the channels Tome uses to communicate, the technology stack that powers them, and the marketing strategies that guide each approach. The messaging you craft will reach a highly diverse, global customer base that spans enterprise and consumer use cases.

What you’ll do

• As Tome's first dedicated CRM Lead, you'll work on both the strategy and the execution of owned comms initiatives

• You'll work closely with the Growth team on the technical strategy for CRM tooling, as well as crafting the user journey in and out of the product

• You'll own orchestration and prioritization of comms across channels, with an initial emphasis on email and in-product messaging

• At Tome you're not selling financial services, or hamburgers, or VR goggles — you're helping people express their ideas! The opportunities for interesting work are limitless.

Who you are

• An owner/operator in the CRM & lifecycle space who is equally comfortable building a high-performing email and analyzing the latest segmentation approach. 4+ years of experience preferred.

• A deep and empathetic cross-functional collaborator who can think through tradeoffs and get to the right decision with conflicting information

• You love media, storytelling, startup energy, and working on things that feel totally new

• Experience with consumer CRM and subscription marketing is a plus
