The role:
We are looking for a Director, Enterprise Consulting to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the COO (ex Bain), the Director, Enterprise Consulting will partner with enterprise customers to understand their business goals and unique challenges, consulting on how to make their sales and technology strategies successful, and becoming their long-term partner. This critical role will build exceptional relationships with our largest customers and deliver value at all stages of the customer journey to drive mutual success and growth. This is a hybrid role, based in the greater Boston area (3 days per week in office based in Kendall Square) with regular travel to visit customer accounts.
What you’ll do:
- Owning a book of business of enterprise customers (Distributors with $1B+ plus in revenue), owning net expansion and services opportunities for that book
- Building deep relationships with your customers, from the C-suite down
- Understanding customer's business and challenges, aligning solutions with Proton's capabilities
- Identifying consulting opportunities and executing projects for clients
- Tailoring Proton value proposition based on customer specific use cases, using a combination of quantitative and qualitative evidence
- Helping customers succeed with our product, including; answering detailed questions and troubleshooting issues; owning basic configuration and setup for select features; liaising with our Product and Professional Services teams on possible product changes; and owning communication and tracking with customers about any open issues
- Driving engagement and adoption by focusing on increasing customer value including:
- Analyzing adoption metrics, developing engagement plans, and sharing product updates
- Driving executive business reviews and cadence meetings
- Internally advocating for customer by working with the product team to provide feature feedback and marketing to highlight customer stories

- Engineering Leadership

Reporting to our CEO and with heavy exposure to our COO, the Director of Enterprise Solutions will identify business development opportunities, build relationships with Director level to C-suite members of Enterprise B2B Distributors, and design and sell solutions depending on their needs.
This role will either be based in Boston with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, office located in Kendall Square).
As a Director of Enterprise Solutions, you will:
- Engage prospective clients with a consultative approach. Sell to Proton’s Top 1,000 accounts in the large enterprise space (customer revenues typically >$1B).
- Build multi-threaded customer buying committees involving stakeholders at all levels of the organization, up to C-suite.
- Drive solution concepts, design, and vision, and relay that to both the client and our organization.
- Develop strategies to engage prospective clients, identify decision-makers and stakeholders, build trusted relationships, and educate our audience on AI and Machine Learning opportunities within their business.
- Foster a team environment to win. Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other Revenue Support groups to ensure customer success.
