The delivery team sits cross-functionally across our technology functions at Hawk-Eye. You will join a team of Delivery Managers that work closely with Product, Software Engineering and Operations teams, alongside others, to execute on projects.
THE ROLE:
As a Delivery Manager at Hawk-Eye, itโs your responsibility to lead the delivery of multiple projects that accomplish company objectives. Projects vary from new product launches, integration of existing offerings into different markets or improving our technical foundations so Hawk-Eye is setting itself up for future success.
Itโs the delivery team's responsibility to create a project environment that empowers relevant teams to accomplish their best work for the project. The Delivery team anticipates and mitigates risks, tracks and communicates timelines to the wider business, while continuously evolving teamsโ roadmaps to align with the company priorities.

The main purpose of this role is to prepare the tracking systems at the stadium and monitor them during the match. These systems are the Electronic Performance Tracking System (EPTS) and Goal-Line Technology (GLT).
You can find the more specific responsibilities here:
Check that there is a fiber connection with all the switches in the stadium rooms and possibly resolve the problems by re-establishing the connections;
Connect the EPTS room with the GLT/VAR (Video Assistant referee) van via the two networks .2 and .3;
Set up and test communication via Dante with Replay Operator (RO), Assistant Replay Operator (ARO), Video Technical Guarantee (VTG) onsite and Technical Guarantee (TG) at the Remote Centre;
Confirm with EPTS and GLT Remote Support that the system is working correctly and possibly follow the provisions deriving from this for troubleshooting;
Calibrate the GLT system before the match, following the relevant checklist and carrying out all the necessary tests to test its reliability and precision;
Monitor the correct functioning of the system during the referees' test approximately two hours before the match and make the necessary changes in case of problems or imperfections;

The main purpose of this role is to prepare the tracking systems at the stadium and monitor them during the match. These systems are the Electronic Performance Tracking System (EPTS) and Goal-Line Technology (GLT).

Carry out, with the support of the camera control, the colorimetry correction of the Ultra Motion cameras on the goal line (UM1 and UM2), ensuring that they are as similar as possible to the broadcast cameras;
Monitor the correct functioning of the system during the match, intervening, with the help of the onsite news station, in case of problems;
At the end of the match, upload all the data requested by EPTS Remote Support, then help the Video Technical Guarantee (VTG) and GLT Operator with the disassembly activities

The main purpose of this role is to supervise and manage all the technical equipment present in the stadium for three of our Football systems: Video Assistant Referee (VAR), Goal-Line Technology (GLT) and Electronic Performance Tracking System (EPTS).

Provide support to the GLT operator in connecting the van with the Goal-Line Technology system equipment installed at the stadium and verifying the correct functioning of the latter;

๐What the Job is All About
We are recruiting to fill Football Video Systems Technician roles within our expanding operations in the Serie A and Serie B. There may be opportunities to work across tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of sports technology as part of a dedicated and dynamic team.
Working day expectations:
Match Day -> Arrival up to 7 hours pre-Kick Off
Match Day -> End of day up to 2 hours post game completion
There are also varied needs during the setup day/s which may require the assistants to be present on the day/s before match day.
The role requires the consultant to be flexible with work hours depending on the needs of the onsite team
We are looking for committed and passionate people that are willing, and able to work throughout the football season. Please consider that this work is likely to be mostly on the weekend with some midweek fixtures.
We will equip you with the technical training, support and full exposure to our systems to perform your match day tasks but also encourage development and progression to help make an impact on what we do. Working as a Football Video Systems Technician, is a great entry level route into full time employment with Hawk-Eye Innovations ltd.

๐ผKey Responsibilities
The main purpose of this role is to supervise and manage all the technical equipment present in the stadium for three of our Football systems: Video Assistant Referee (VAR), Goal-Line Technology (GLT) and Electronic Performance Tracking System (EPTS).
You can find the more specific responsibilities here:
Provide support to the GLT operator in connecting the van with the Goal-Line Technology system equipment installed at the stadium and verifying the correct functioning of the latter;
Check that all the servers and equipment present on the van or in the Control Room are functioning and resolve the problems if necessary;
Connect the van or the Control Room with the Remote Center and test the connection with the Technical Guarantee in Lissone;
Check correct installation of the audio and Referee Review Area (RRA) system on the sidelines and test with Lissone;
Take the video signals from the control medium of all the cameras that frame the field and provide our outputs for: GLT/Semi Automatic Offside (SAO); VAR; ARE YOU THERE; VORcam;
Fill in the checklist relating to your role, reporting any uncompleted checks and specifying the reason;
Monitor the GLT and VAR systems during the match, communicating any problems to the Remote Center news station and resolving them with the support of the latter;
Fill in your sections in the match report and all the documents assigned in the check-list;
Help the GLT Operator with dismantling activities.
๐ Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
Bright and enterprising with excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Proactive, responsible attitude and ability to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision
Time management skills and ability to work in a high pressure, procedural, live broadcast environment
Ability to liaise with stakeholders in a professional and approachable manner with attention to good communication.
Comfortable working in English (reading, writing and speaking) as you may need to interact with colleagues from other countries
Able to adapt to flexible working conditions with irregular working hours
Preferred:
A technical background, ideally in IT or Broadcast
An interest in sport and/or sports analysis, with a good knowledge of football and the rules of the game
Experience working with VT/replay technology desirable, or live event / technical production
Prepared to travel locally and, if required, further afield in Italy
Driving licence
