As Lab and Office manager for Cradle in The Netherlands, you would be expected to:

What we are looking for
For this challenge we are looking for software engineers who are excited to peek out of the virtual world and join us on integrating promising ML models in a protein design platform. Be ready to witness first hand what happens when you leave the bits and bytes behind and try to solve challenges with nature’s constraints and complexity. We look for candidates who are not shy to take research papers or ML prototypes and turn them into scalable product features. Besides dealing with the ML models itself, a big part of your job will be to build the necessary infrastructure around the machine learning models to make them accessible and useful to biologists.
Responsibilities:
As a software engineer in machine learning, you would be responsible to:
Take an algorithm from a research project and transform it into robust, well-tested, functional code
Support the team in establishing a stable, high quality and flexible software engineering process.
Set up validations and benchmarks to ensure a high quality of ML models.
Collaborate with biologists, software engineers and scientists alike and learn to understand their domain
Contribute to open source software and establish a community around Cradle and its platform

Job Description
As a User Experience Research Assistant at Cradle, you will play a vital role in helping our User Experience Team gather insights from user interviews, code and organize key takeaways, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform. We are seeking someone with a biology background who can engage in technical conversations, summarize complex topics, and pay attention to detail. While prior user experience research experience is a plus, it is not a requirement, as we are open to training the right candidate who is passionate about user experience research and excited to work in a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Take notes based on user interviews conducted by the User Experience Researcher, using recorded interviews.
Summarize and code user interviews to help identify key insights and trends.
Maintaining an organized repository of user insights.
Assist in administrative tasks related to upcoming interviews, such as creating documents with details for note takers.
Manage administrative tasks for completed interviews to ensure all documentation is organized and readily accessible.
Collaborate closely with the User Experience Researcher to support ongoing research efforts.
Need-to-Haves:
A background in biology or a related field is required to engage effectively in technical conversations.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to summarize complex technical discussions.
Curiosity about user experience research and a willingness to learn.

This is a remote contract position.
Weekly hours will vary based on the number of interviews conducted, estimated initially at 2-3 hours per interview.
We have a backlog of interviews to code, so hours may be higher initially to catch up on this backlog.
