We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal RTL Engineer to lead our digital design efforts. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex digital circuits, contributing to architecture decisions, mentoring junior engineers, and driving the successful execution of our projects. Your expertise in RTL design, verification methodologies, and hands-on experience with the latest tools and technologies will be crucial to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of high-performance digital circuits using RTL (Register Transfer Level) design methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, specifications, and design constraints for new projects.
- Drive the development of efficient and optimized RTL code while considering power, performance, and area (PPA) trade-offs.
- Utilize industry-standard tools and methodologies for RTL design, simulation, and synthesis.
- Contribute to verification efforts, ensuring designs meet functional and performance specifications through simulation and other validation techniques.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering their professional growth.
- Collaborate with physical design, software, and system teams to achieve seamless integration and successful product realization.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in digital design methodologies, tools, and industry trends.
- Participate in design reviews, offer valuable insights, and provide solutions to complex design challenges.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and at least 15 years of industry experience.
- Proven track record of leading and successfully delivering complex digital designs from concept to production.
- Extensive experience with RTL design, including Verilog and/or VHDL.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard EDA tools for design, simulation, synthesis, and verification.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, microarchitecture, and system-level considerations.
- In-depth knowledge of ASIC and FPGA design methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and debug intricate design issues.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Publications, patents, or contributions to industry forums demonstrating thought leadership are a strong advantage.
