What We're Looking for:
We are looking for people who are passionate about delivering self-driving (L4) products that make the way we move safer, faster, and more efficient. We seek mission-driven, highly skilled people with deep experience in fast-paced, rapidly growing, tech development environments.
Specifically, we are looking for test engineers who can test software and hardware involved in monitoring and diagnostics functions, and in turn selection and execution of minimum risk maneuvers when faults are present in the system. These are safety-critical functions that need a high degree of engineering rigor to develop, including in our verification and validation approach. We are looking for test engineers who can develop thorough and practical test approaches to ensure the subsystem developed is ready to be incorporated into Stack’s autonomous truck.
What Success Looks Like:
- Understand the onboard hardware and software systems in place and being developed.
- Determine a test approach for monitoring and diagnostic functions. Consider how to construct tests that thoroughly evaluate the system and are also efficient in execution.
- Determine how to also test for off-nominal conditions, and consider exploratory testing to try to determine unexpected failure modes.
- Work with hardware and software teams to automate testing to the extent possible.
- Define test cases, and document in tooling.
- Execute tests and work with our test operations team.
- Deliver test reports.
We are proud to be an equal-opportunity workplace. We believe that diverse teams produce the best ideas and outcomes. We are committed to building a culture of inclusion, entrepreneurship, and innovation across gender, race, age, sexual orientation, religion, disability, and identity.
