The Machine Learning (ML) Infrastructure team is hiring for strong software engineers at all levels who can provide tools, workflows, datasets and other artifacts to support and accelerate machine learning efforts for Perception, Motion Planning, and other ML teams.
What Success Looks Like:
- Collaborate closely with ML modeling teams across Perception, Motion Planning, and other ML teams to define ML infrastructure requirements and build critical data services.
- Design and develop large scale data pipelines that transform sensor data from vehicles into consumable tool formats for ML modeling teams.
- Leverage MLOps best practices to design and develop scalable model training, evaluation, experimentation and deployment workflows.
- Use the latest cloud technologies to design, implement, and test scalable distributed data systems.
- In the first year, you will be responsible for getting the ML tools, datasets, pipelines running efficiently to enable large scale ML development across autonomy.
- Experience in ML training (local and distributed), feature extraction, dataset creation.
- Understanding of ML modeling and concepts around train/test/validation and ML modeling lifecycle.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
- Familiarity with PyTorch, Numpy.
- Experience with large scale distributed systems and pipelines.
- Experience with cloud environment, storage and database management systems (AWS S3, Parquet).
- Experience with workflow systems such as Apache Airflow.
