About the Role:
We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our small but mighty product team and influence the overall Kira Learning experience. As a collaborative member of the team, you’ll support projects around the entire product lifecycle, from early concepts, interactive flows, and through release. You'll apply user-centered design methods and systems to deliver intuitive, accessible experiences for our users. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, drive project priorities, and ensure smooth communication across the team. This is a great role for someone who is passionate about empowering teachers and students and wants to work in a scrappy environment where they can have a lot of ownership.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Partner with members of our product and design teams to take our UI from concept to completion.
  • Collaborate on the full UI/UX of our products from blue sky to UX specs and determine goals for new and evolving features.
  • Develop and conduct ad-hoc and recurring customer feedback/testing research with our pilot program.
  • Study platform analytics to further understand consumer behavior.
  • Create actionable, improvement plans as a resultBe the advocate for UX best practices, and push to improve UX design workflow processes.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and design mockups to communicate design concepts and gather feedback.

Experience & Skills

  • 5-7 years of Product Design experience with a proven track record of building beautiful UI/UX and understanding customer’s needs
  • Solid experience using Figma and other design and prototyping tools.
  • Deep experience in interaction, prototyping, and complex design systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; you can patiently, professionally and effectively communicate with a diverse and multicultural group of peers across time zones and continents.
  • Nimble, scrappy and adaptable.
  • Can roll with the punches and thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environmentA positive, can-do attitude.
  • You’re not deterred by minor setbacks and are able to swiftly overcome ambiguity.
  • You believe feedback is a gift. You can thoughtfully share feedback to others as needed, and you can receive feedback and grow from it.
  • Will consistently cultivate a culture of inclusion where all team members feel a sense of belonging and can bring their authentic selves to work.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace programs and Microsoft Office Suite.
$150,000 - $175,000 a year
Compensation is based on a number of relevant factors such as location, professional experience and related skill sets.
